Mullabrack senior ladies continued their winning form in the
league with a comprehensive victory over Forkhill on Saturday
14/6/08 at home.
The home side dominated play, the ball rarely going beyond
midfield thanks to the hard work of mid-field pair Gemma and Kathryn
Rice. Forwards Toni Morgan, Leanne Murray, Christina Crilly and Emma
Fields won a lot of good possession but failed to convert this on
the scoreboard. Niamh Suttons goal and Shauna Galloglys two points
the only scores in the first half for Mullabrack. The defence
conceded just one point to leave half-time score 1:2 to 0:1.
In the second half Mullabrack demonstrated their superiority with
Christina Crilly extending the lead with two points. Shauna Gallogly
and Niamh Sutton tortured the Forkhill defence each bagging two
goals. Helen Corvan was excellent in the half-back line and added a
point. Ciara Gallogly won a lot of possession in the midfield area
and scored a long range goal. Aoife McConville and Michaela Dougan
dealt easily with any scoring threat. Josie McSorley was never
troubled in goals with the brilliant Faye Rice snuffing out any
scoring chances. Final score 6:8 to 0:3.
