Mullabrack senior ladies brought the week to a successful
conclusion when they defeated Culloville on 11/5/08 and added to the
victories of the minors and U16s earlier in the week.
The first half proved very competitive with Culloville
registering the first score with a point. Shauna Gallogly levelled
the scores with a free but Culloville broke through the Mullabrack
defence and the ball finished in the net. The visitors added a
further point before Leanne Murray pulled one back for the home
side. Culloville scored a third point but Mullabrack were beginning
to take control with Niamh Sutton adding a third point for the
‘Brack. Shauna Gallogly ensured that Mullabrack had the half-time
lead when she netted twice to leave the half-time score 2:3 to 1:3.
Mullabrack continued to heap pressure on their opponents and this
was rewarded on the scoreboard with Shauna Gallogly playing the
captains role scoring six points. Niah Sutton(2) Emma Fields and
Katherine Rice also registered points. The game was put beyond
Culloville with goals from Niamh Sutton and Christina Crilly.

game but Mullabracks defence had been on top for the majority of the
game. Toni Morgan brought off several good saves in both halfs and
was helped by full-backs Grainne Lee, Michaela Dougan and Ciara
Gallogly. Faye Rice worked like a Trojan along with Aoife McConville
and Helen Corvan in the half-backs. Katherine and Gemma Rice
controlled the game in the midfield area winning possession and
allowin all three half-forwards, Leanne Murray, Christina Crilly and
Emma Fields to score. Saoirse Farrell used her height to win useful
possession and laid the ball on to the scoring threats of Shauna
Gllogly and Niamh Sutton.. Louise Rice and Frances Boyce were
introduced in the second half and both made useful contributions to
the final result. Mullabrack 4:13 Culloville 3:4.
