Mullabrack senior ladies met Silverbridge at home on Saturday
evening and contested a sporting match with the final result not
reflecting the closeness of the match.
Shauna Gallogly opened Mullabracks account with a well taken
point while at the other end Josie McSorley denied the opposition
several goal chances and her defence done well to only concede two
points in the first half. Toni Morgan scored the 'Bracks' second
point with Shauna Gallogly scoring the point of the match to leave
the half-time score 0:3 to 0:2 in favour of the home side.
Mullabrack started well after the break and dominated play
getting three points from the boot of Shauna Gallogly and with ten
minutes to go had a three point advantage. However the wind
strengthened and the girls lost their grip on the match allowing
Silverbridge to score three goals and the same number of points in
the final ten minutes.
The girls can still take heart from this match the fact that they
were without key players due to injury and relied on several younger
players who are proving they are worthy of the senior jersey.
