MULLABRACK V PHELIM BRADYS 25/4/07.
Mullabrack senior ladies hosted Phelim Bradys in their second
league match on Wednesday evening 25/4/07.
Phelim Bradys opened the score sheet with a point but Mullabrack
responded with a Toni Morgan point and Shauna Gallogly found the
Bradys net. Phelim Bradys continued to press and added a goal and a
further three points. Shauna and Toni ensured Mullabrack didn’t
loose touch and they each added a point to leave the half-time score
1:4 to 1:3 in favour of Phelim Bradys.
Toni Morgan equalised after the break but unfortunately
Mullabrack lost Ciara McSorley who sustained a serious injury and
was replaced by Leanne Murray. The Bradys added a further two points
but Mullabracks scoring duo of Shauna and Toni pegged on points a
piece to level the scores.
Mullabracks defence was excellent in the final stages and
prevented any further scores. Shauna Gallogly found the Bradys net
for the second time and Gemma Rice scored the third goal to ensure
victory.
This was a fine team effort with Josie McSorley bringing of a
fine save in the final minutes ably assisted by the full back line
of Faye Rice, Michaela Dougan and Natasha McNamee. Derblah Corvan,
Aoife McConville, Helen Corvan and sub Kathryn Rice worked
tirelessly continually turning defence into attack. Ciara McSorley
and Gemma Rice worked hard in midfield feeding the forwards and
defending when required. Kevina McNamee, Christina Crilly, Saoirse
Farrell, Lisa Fields and sub Leanne Murray worked hard winning
possession and setting up scores. Toni Morgan scored three points
from play and converted a free. Shauna Gallogly was top scorer with
two well taken goals and two points.
Best Wishes to Ciara for a speedy recovery and well done to
Saoirse Farrell in her senior debut.
