Lisbrack v St Endas
Lisbrack U16 played their second league match on Monday 21/5/07
when they travelled to Grange to take on St Endas.
Captain Aoife McConville won the toss and opted to play with the
wind. Taking full advantage full forward Shauna Rafferty opened
Lisbracks account with a point followed quickly by a goal. St Endas
registered their first point but from then on Lisbracks midfield
took control with Shauna Rafferty going on a scoring rampage netting
two further goals and a point. Gemma Canavan scored two points and
Aoibhen Rafferty scoring the final point of the half to leave the
half-time score 3:5 to 0:1 with the visitors ahead.
Aoibhen Rafferty and Gemma Canavan scored early points in the
second half but St Endas didn’t give up scoring a goal and two
points. Gemma Canavan found the St Endas net to increase Lisbracks
lead but St Endas finished strong scoring a further goal and two
points.
Honor Gorman was outstanding at full-back and Saoirse Farrell
saved for Lisbrack when St Endas major scoring threat was straight
through. Leanne Murray and Faye
Rice controlled midfield for long periods and Lisbrack were able
to introduce a full quota of subs, Frances Boyce, Sinead McKernan,
Emma Fields, Roisin O’Hagan and Paula Rice.
