GFC v
Phelim Bradys
League Championship
venue: Mullabrack
‘
Mullabrack 4 : 11
to Phelim Bradys 0:5
Mullabrack replied in
a positive manner following the narrow defeat by Shane O'Neills on
Sunday last. The game started at a brisk pace with Mullabrack on top
from the beginning. Good scores from Paddy Toal, Eamon Boylan
rounded off by a fine goal by Sean henry saw Mullabrack leading by 1
goal and 5 points to Phelim Bradys two points at half time.
Both Sean Agnew and Phelim Sands were immense
in midfield. At the back Philip Jordan, Stephen Sands and Christoper
Dougan kept Phelim Bradys at bay for most of the early stages of the
second half.
Once again Mullabrack opened up the Phelim
Bradys defence following a fine sideline ball from Paddy Toal to an
unmarked Sean Henry who stuck the ball in the top corner of the net.
Mullabrack then took hold of game and further points followed from
Phelim Sands, Paddy Toal, Eamon Boylan and John Conlon. The last 15
minutes of the game once again saw Paddy Toal hit the back of the
net from a good ball from Philly Murphy. To round it all off Eamon
Boylan struck a low shot to the near corner which saw the ball creep
under the goal keeper and into the net rounding off a fine result
for the "Brack".
